W/R (White/Red) was initially ringed as G110W/OR as a chick in 1992, on Texel. She lost her green ring with stripes (G110) already shortly after ringing, and therefore became known as “WOR” (W/OR). Read more

Op Nestkastlive zagen vaste waarnemers op 28 februari al lepelaars op nesten liggen op het eiland in de Nieuwkoopse plassen en op 25 maart werd daar het eerste jong gezien. De tellingen in de database van de Werkgroep Lepelaar gaan terug tot 1962. Toen waren er in Nederland 5 lepelaar-kolonies, met 361 nesten, 2 kolonies op het vasteland en 3 op de Waddeneilanden.
