The characteristics of foreign rings

Here we discuss the different color ring schemes that are used abroad. We successively discuss France, Spain, Denmark and Germany. The flowchart can provide additional insight.

France: Two schedules

1. Loic Marion

Loic Marion rings with small low rings in many colors and a metal ring. There is no flag. There are rings on both legs, but there can be a different number on both legs. See the spoonbill in the photo below. Forward to: loic.marion(AD)univ-rennes1.fr - Replace in the email address (AD) with @

2. Yves Kayser en Thomas Blanchon (Camarque)

In the Camarque, the spoonbills are ringed by Yves Kayser and Thomas Blanchon. They only use 1 white ring with an inscription of 4 letters and or numbers. Sightings can be reported to: kayser(AD)tourduvalat.org - Replace (AD) with @ in the email address

Spain

Only 1 white ring with an inscription of 3 letters or numbers. Pass to: anillamientoebd(AD)ebd.csic.es - Replace in the email address (AD) with @

Denmark

Only a dark green ring with a white inscription, starting with the letter V and then 3 numbers, for example V078. Pass to: ringing(AD)snm.ku.dk - Replace in the email address (AD) with @

Germany

Germany works with flags and rings. Germany has Green and Lime flags. Some spoonbills get an ELSA ring. Those are black 6-cornered rings with an inscription.
